Scene B Seen chronicles the Grange Designer Showcase for a good cause….
Our room for the Grange designer showcase was such a success for one very important reason: our vendors, designers and artists who donated their time and materials to make this beautiful room come to life. We could not have done this without you and we are so grateful for this huge collaborative effort! Al, Rene and Dara of Martin Albert Interiors (http://www.martinalbert.com/) built the beautiful regency-style valance that framed the bed plus all custom seat cushions, bed linens and upholstery in the room and the sheer draperies. They also built the adorable inspiration board above the desk.
Kravet was generous to donate all the fabric that we requested to complete all the specialized custom upholstery and draperies (http://www.kravet.com/). Finding those crazy salmon-pinks and apple green plaids was not easy and through Kravet we were able to pull together a really tight and beautiful palette that make the black Grange casegoods come to life.
The black rug that gave our room the edgy twist that we needed is a Karim Rashid design from Roubini Rugs. We love their rug collections, especially the Missoni, Jamie Drake and the Tony Duquette collections (http://www.roubinirugs.com/).
Tess Casey from Aisling Flowers (http://www.tesscasey.com/default4.asp) surprised us as always with the most exquisite floral arrangements. She has the most unbelievable talent for combining unexpected flowers and great little accessories like the rubber and brass ring detail in the peony arrangement.
We could go on about how much we love Lindsey Adelman, as evidenced all over our portfolio and blog site! She loaned us the beautiful gold globes that appear to be melting into the nightstands. I have coveted one of these for so long and am thrilled that they worked so well to bring beautiful gold detail into our room. (http://www.lindseyadelman.com/)
Eloise Corr Danch made the dress form out of paper. It is actually a “paper” kilt! She is a unique find and you must check out her website to get the full view of her work, especially the W spread that she just shot with Bruce Weber (http://eloisecorrdanch.com/)
The pink and green cashmere throw on the bed is on generous loan from Bryce & Co (http://www.bryceandco.com/) It was fortuitous that this throw actually exists to tie our pink and green room together.
Thank you again to everyone, we are so grateful and adore your work. We look forward to a long and prosperous working relationship with you all! xo Lisa and Lydia
Our designer showcase at Grange last night was a huge success. Thanks so much to all our friends, family and colleagues who showed up to support us! We had a fantastic time and Grange knows how to throw a fab party!
Please join Marks & Frantz at the Grange Showroom at 200 Lexington Avenue (@33rd Street), 2nd floor as we launch our first Designer Showcase.
We are very excited to be a part of this event and hope you will all drop in for cocktails!

We have been asked to participate in a Designer Showcase for Grange in their NY showroom and Eloise Corr Danch, a Brooklyn-based artist who creates amazing flowers out of paper, is making a piece for the fashion themed room. We can’t wait to see her newest creation. http://eloisecorrdanch.com/. The photo above is from a collection she created for a Bruce Weber shoot in W Magazine this month. We have been admiring her work from afar for quite some time and we are excited that we finally have an opportunity to work with her on our Grange vignette.
